The Warm Springs
Care Farm
The Warm Springs Care Farm is not a petting zoo, but a therapeutic family care farm that offers a variety of volunteer programs such as animal care, Barn Club, 4H, art workshops, nature time, therapist trainings, volunteer and yoga/movement/breath are offered free at the farm to small groups and individuals. We partner with Children's Home Counseling Services, who offers one-on-one nature-based therapy sessions.
Our mission is to improve the mental health and well-being of families with restorative care farm and nature-based therapeutic experiences.
Our vision is to be a therapeutic sanctuary where people and animals connect, heal and grow.
"For me, looking forward to going to the farm is what gets me through the day. Every time I come, I enjoy working with my hands, because it lets me process and slow down, and makes me feel so peaceful after. The community is so great and from the moment you get there, everyone is so welcoming. I am so thankful to be a part of it because it is just so wholesome. There is simply no room for bad vibes!"

August through November and March through May, classes of 30 or fewer are welcome to experience a hands-on, relaxing retreat with their students. The following stations are available for customized field trips: horticulture/herbs, goat experience, bird experience, art, yoga/movement, and horse interactions. Field Trips are led by credentialed teacher and former master gardener Linda Haley. Field trips are best for grades 1-6 since we are not a petting zoo, but a working care farm. Suggested donation depends upon which facilitators are needed (from 55/hour to 100/hour). Scholarships are available!
Reliable and hardworking adults and teens are welcome to volunteer in our volunteer program, coming weekly to feed and water animals, clean enclosures and do farm chores. Garden volunteers are always welcome during spring, summer and fall to help maintain the raised garden beds.
The Rotary Club, Girls Scouts, various businesses in the valley and others come to do one day work projects, such as cleaning out goat stalls, chicken coops, organizing the tool areas, greenhouse or other areas, building things, helping on hay days, or weeding in the garden. Groups under 25 people are welcome to contact Linda@warmspringscarefarm.org for details.
Bunnies, chickens and ducks will be the focus of the 1st ever 4H club at the Warm Springs Care Farm. Let by a state 4H bunny expert, April LeBlanc, RN and parent volunteers, this club will meet twice monthly on Wednesday nights at the Care Farm. For more information, contact linda@warmspringscarefarm.org or by phone at 208 515 4234. Open for ages 7 and up. Next meeting is via Zoom on Feb 2.
The Warm Springs Care Farm Teen Leadership is the heart and soul of the care farm. Without these great leaders, we could not run barn club. Empathetic, animal-loving teens ages 13 and up share their talents and enthusiasm with barn club children and lead children through farm chores.
Congratulations to Anabelle, for being the 2025 Volunteer of the Year. Anabelle has a huge heart for our little goats, and has helped create the Art Committee, which provides art activities during barn club. Anabelle inspires the kids to work together and work hard. We are so grateful for the many hours she gives to make the farm a better place.
Get your junior high student that confidence and self-esteem they need to defend against the bullies in junior high. Most of these kids are North Junior High kids, but the FREE class is open to ALL junior high kids. It is a great work out and will build kids' practical ability to defend themselves. Teacher Thoren Rogers ((360)220-4932) is fantastic and can fill you in on where the group meets (off the farm- either at Adams, Roosevelt or another outdoor location).

"I left the training feeling excited and with a full heart. I truly appreciate (and resonate) with your “out of the box” approach to helping heal families and our community."
